Your Scuba Adventure starts with the PADI Open Water Diver Certification.
The first step is the Open Water Classroom and Pool Instruction.
John's Scuba Shop provides:
-Open Water Diver Manual
-Recreational Dive Planner
-Diver's Log
-Use of Pool Gear (BCD, Regulator w/Gauges, Tanks, Weights)
-Classroom and Pool Instruction
*You will need to provide your own mask, snorkel, fins, and booties. Come check out our shop and we can help you choose the equipment that best meets your needs and budget.
CLASS SCHEDULE
Wednesday: 5pm-9pm Classroom
Thursday: 5pm-9pm Classroom
Friday: 5pm-7pm Classroom
7:30pm-9pm YMCA pool
Saturday: 7am Day at YMCA pool
*This is an approximate class schedule. If you are unable to attend at these times, we will be happy to make special arrangements for an additional fee.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Once you've completed your pool and classroom instruction, the next step is to complete your certification at an open water location.
Open Water Certification at the Lake
Includes:
-2 days boat diving
-4 certification dives plus 2 fun dives
-Tanks and Weights
-Rental Gear (BCD, Regulator, Wetsuit)
-Instruction
-Certification Card
-Lunch and drinks
Open Water Certification in San Carlos, Mexico
Includes:
-3 nights lodging in a house or condo
-2 days of 3 tank boat dives
-Tanks and Weights
-Snacks and water on the boat
San Carlos, Mexico is located on the beautiful Sea of Cortez and is a close destination for a fun weekend trip. We caravan down on Thursday and stay 3 nights in a beautiful house or condo. San Carlos is a charming town that has alot to offer. You'll enjoy the local diving favorites on the beautiful "Piesquita", a 36 ft. Newton dive boat. Diving with the sea lions at San Pedro Island is always a favorite!
